Sycko Radio 6920 USB 0229 UTC 23 JAN 2023
« on: January 23, 2023, 0232 UTC »
UNID 6920.0 USB 02:29 UTC 23 JAN 2023

02:29 UTC - Truly a UNID at first as I could not even make out what mode this one was operating in, AM or SSB. The signal was highly distorted and off frequency;
02:31 UTC - Good readable in USB with Jazz Blues music. Audio is still over modulated but I am liking the track selection. Approx 3.2 kHz wide (200 Hz into the LSB and 3 kHz into the USB);
03:00 UTC - DRM / EasyPal image;
03:10 UTC - Major fade out to my location, the signal is now deep into the background noise.

RSPduo | Wellbrook loop antenna

Noted Jack O' Diamonds, by Cory Harris at 03:21 UTC
Very weak SSTV image at 03:29, then off.  Thanks for the broadcast!  PSE QSL.

Funny, but I listened at 03:12 and 03:13.  I can (now) hear the EasyPal digital (thought it was just noise), but at 03:13, I didn't hear any ID!  Just straight into music....Walt

I edited the recording and found that the 3 parts of the show I thought were ID's, turned out to be a synth voiced jingle sounding like "I like shortwave radio"! Below are the audio snippets as mentioned in my posting:
