Drake R8, Kenwood R-2000, Panasonic RF-4900, Sony 2010, Realistic DX440, Grundig Satellit 500, 7mhz backyard dipole, Mt Prospect, IL 20miles (32km) NW of downtown Chicago. I have been using online receivers because of strong data hash interference in my neighborhood that I believe is caused by Uverse squeezing up to 100mb/sec through ordinary pairs of wires. I don't have Uverse but neighbors do. williamhassig@yahoo.com

"S9+10 with the KX4AZ KiwiSDR. Wider bandwidth but sounding slightly quieter than 4030."

Interesting...both are tapping 100% Neg every 3 secs or so and running 110%-120% (4030 slightly less than 6960).  6960 is full 7.5KHz+ from 70Hz-7500Hz, no pre-emphasis.  4030 is on an "off the shelf rice box" heavily modified but stuck with the 200-3000Hz pass band.

NA5B in Washington DC seems to get both signals adequately to compare, and yes they are in sync.

I wonder if the S meter on the SDR is a bit different on both bands? Could be stronger on 4030 but the S meter shows the same level? I will put the recording on YouTube later and you can check it out.

In western NY, great on 4030, terrible on 6960, between 0315 and of program at 0342.  Several "Ballsmacker" IDs with bowling pins. Web address "ballsmacker.net". Songs included CSNY "Woodstock", "Let's Get Together", by Bryan Ferry (I think). Thanks!
