Op in attempted conversation with shrimpers.
"It sounds like 2 traps, and fuel starvation to me".
It morphed into the "Shrimp Boat Radio" show, WSBR.
Will accept calls from anywhere; you don't necessarily have to be on a shrimp boat.
We can talk about anything.  We can talk about shrimpin', or we can talk about shrimpin'.
0331 Taking requests from Greaser Bob of BCR and The Carolina Lady
0416 offficially, it's WSBR Shrimp Boat Radio aka WFAR Freakin' Awesome Radio

Will post audio tomorrow.

Guns n Roses

0353z "Day in the Life" Beatles

"Show" started off rough BUT the music quality is pretty good.
Clearly LIVE & funny at times like "We're Shrimping but they not biting"

"Its that fuel strainer in the tank"  he said.    Sounds like he's gassed up himself!    Signal has come up here to s9 and steady at 04:00.  Pretty good audio and very entertaining.  Thanks for the show!

Shrimp Boat Radio, 6925, 5-4-13, 45433
Nice sounding SSB signal about S7 on peaks with slow fading.

0349z - tuned in the the end of a GNR live song
0350z - Shrimp Boat Radio (or Frickin' Awesome Radio) ID at 0350z, then into Beatles, "A Day In The Life"
0359z - Metallica (by request) - Nothing Else Matters
0503z - About S6 now, but with less fading. Jimi Hendrix - Are You Experienced

Just back in from the movies to hear "LA Woman" by The Doors at 0437, then rambling talk by the DJ with the two IDs.
Taking requests via QSOs with other operators.  SIO: 333
U2's "A Celebration" at 0506... signal holding up well.

Taking on air requests? Perhaps a new pirate first!!!

I think in the 1980's either WKND (Weekend Radio) or WENJ had a call in phone number for on-air requests though my memory is not sure which station :D

Taking on air requests? Perhaps a new pirate first!!!

The famous early '80's Canadian Pirate TNFM actually gave their HOME phone number for requests. I chatted with them for quite a while and have a cassette recording of the broadcast, where they gave a shout out to me. Of course this was in the pre-Bunneh days when pirates didn't have to worry too much about that sort of thing.
