I'm not sure what I'm hearing here - any ideas? I can't even identify the language. Google turns up no hits for broadcasters on this frequency, just Russian military.

Thanks! That explains why I wasn't able to ID the language - Kurdish isn't something I'd ever recognize.

Ditto....I ran across this a few days ago. checked all the frequency sources and, also. came up empty.  ECSS on the R75 helped the speech audio but not enough to ID.

Please be aware of multi-stations on 17460 kHz., NOT just Denge Welat!! Ron

This info is from Wolfgang Bueschel:

"ARMENIA/UZBEKISTAN/TURKEY

on Sunday March 19 at 09.40 UT both programs on co-channel 17460 kHz
bad channel px mixture together.

17460even Denge Welat likely via Gavar Armenia instead,
and
17460.014 kHz TRT Osmanic music of Turkish national intelligence Organisation (MIT).

D.W. radio better AHEAD signal in Greece and India remotedly, S=9+10dB,

but TRT stronger S=9+20dB in KWT and Doha Qatar ME remotedly instead.

[selected SDR options, span 12.5 kHz RBW 15.3 Hertz]
