Someone messing around with ION is my guess. ION was on a thread recently where this was reported to be a Coast Guard net and said these nets are why he doesn't tx in this part of the spectrum.

Someone trying to start another pirate war or just an asshole, you be the judge.

ION said military stuff keeps him below 6965 kHz, this was on 6872 kHz. This was North American Pirate Relay Service with the KMUD relay again.

Songs are identified with Shazam if needed. I usually use KiwiSDR receivers. Reception from my QTH is using an SDRPlay RSP1A for SWL with a 40 meter band Inverted V at 40 feet. Kenwood TS-570D for ham use.

I'm a little lost on this thread but I WAS referring to 6965. Canadian MARS I think SIGINT said that's who broadcast up there.

No, no Pirate war please. Nothing good can come from that. But I do get annoyed when Ball Smacker QRMs me after I've been on frequency for an hour.
QTH- East of everywhere.

Sorry. I read it as 6972.8 where the Coast Guard Net is. Damned Bifocals!

6955 was a Canadian Air Force Net frequency back in the days when it was the primary pirate frequency and Dr. Tornado used to run the Lincolnshire Poacher off of 6957.5 for giggles. No wonder the FCC paid attention to SW pirates in those days?

I don't know why they didn't sic the FBI on Buffalo Bob Fansome for keeping Captain Ron in that cardboard box under his trailer? I saw some pics of the interior of Al's trailer, it made Timtron's look palatial. Al was always boiling bunnies on the stove.
