I attempt to tune in Radio Cairo nearly every day. They are the most hopelessly irresponsible broadcaster ever. It is rare to actually be able to understand a single word of their crappy modulation. They usually put out modulation spikes 30 Khz or more on each side of the fundamental thus destroying other broadcast stations. The WRN hasn't had anything in their archive for the last 30 days either.

Egypt by SW is tuff. If you want MidEast/African live broadcasts, invest in one of those free to air Ku-band pizza dish satellite systems. You'll watch the news as it happens. I'm surprised more DXers don't have these things.
