6925u Radio Totse 1020 UTC 8/18/2013
« on: August 18, 2013, 1024 UTC »
I'm hearing faint music, too weak to ID, just above the noise floor this morning.  Still pre-sunrise here, so if Radio Totse then this signal should strengthen within the next hour.

1020z: Unid song
1022z: Song ended, male voice with brief announcement, maybe an ID.  Voice sounded very similar to Radio Totse.
1043z: Radio Totse ID
1049z: Radio Totse ID
1052z: Radio Totse ID and email address
1054z: Local sunrise
1056z: "You are listening to Radio Totse"
1058z: Rammstein "Du hast"
1100z: "Coming to you live from Down Under .... Radio Totse"
1103z: Phonetic ID
1108z: ID and solicitation for reception reports to email address
1112z: ID
1116z: ID
1121z: "Coming to you live from Down Under .... Radio Totse"
1122z: Anthrax "Room for one more"
1126z: Phonetic ID
1128z: Radio Totse ID and email address
1134z: Scottie DX SSTV:

Thanks for the show Dak!

Definitely hearing music here at 1032 UTC and an announcer give a gmail.com address. Does Radio Totse use gmail? Then into a rock/metal song.

Checking the SDR recording...

Possibly heard as early as 0925 UTC, but difficult to tell.
QRM from pescadores at various times, such as around 0950.
Music for sure by 1005.
Still weak, but better by 1100. Got mostly wiped out by 6929 when they signed on.

I have the resonant loop down for PM and addition of a rotor to the mast, and ran overnite with the Welllbrook instead.  All the majors (XLR8, Undercover, and RFW) heard with good copy.  Totse in with just JBA audio from time to time in the periods noted by other listeners.

Thanks RT!
