Eccentric Shortwave 6925u 0535Z August 24, 2013
« on: August 24, 2013, 0550 UTC »
Came up on top of RTN playing Doc Watson tunes. RTN since moved to 6940. No ID as of 0550Z. About S1 to S2 on the west coast.
0611Z playing some nice old-timey music...still no ID
0617Z possibly an ID but couldn't quite catch it....possibly one of the SDR recorder boys can get this one.
0623Z another ID and, damn, I missed it...put on the Heil headset so if they ID again, I should be able to hear it.
0627Z another ID...sounded like "Deceptive" Shortwave or something similar. This might be a new one as I can't find anything similar sounding going back through the listings.
0637Z another ID...all I'm getting is the "Shortwave" part...the first word seems to be getting cut off...I will say that the audio is good and the tunes are pretty good too...
I've just been informed on #pirateradio that it's Eccentric Shortwave I'm listening to...from the op himself :-)
Great tunes!! Thanks for the show.
0654Z off the air...thanks again...hope to hear you again.

SDR recording catch, first noted around 0541z.
Generally a weak signal, but some nice peaks, like one around 0608z.
ID and off at 0654z.
