Radio Jackie 6955 AM 2:15 utc 9-21-13
« on: September 21, 2013, 0223 UTC »
6955 AM  S5 - S7  Good copy of audio on peaks
ON about 2:10 utc but started listening / recording at
2:15 utc  Fast paced production - Many many ID's  Radio Jackie - lots of clips, and banter  English accent
Male and Female voices,

2:17 utc  "We Have Lift Off" "Radio Jackie" Can hear a bit of an ELO tune mixed in w/ banter
Hello Mother Hello Father parody?
2:30 z Rare S8 peaks now, still can't put much together on what they are talking about due to many fast fades down into the noise
but I have heard various Radio Jackie Id's more times than i can count.
Same to 2:34 utc then no modulation but carrier still on at 2:40 utc and counting.....
2:41 utc RJ announcer back on....
2:42 utc Radio Jackie FM ID
DJ talking on phone w/ listeners
2:48 utc RJ FM ID
3:00 utc Talk continues but never playing more than 10 seconds of music?
Listened to Internet feed on Radio Jackie web page and this broadcast does not match at all..
Web feed is playing music - whole songs.. but Id's are same - similar
3:05 utc - 3:14 utc  No modulation but carrier remains
3:15 utc back on w/ music - actually playing the whole song now..
3:25 utc Signal has been fading - mostly S5 with some S6 now, still playing tunes mixed with adds Id's, various announcements etc...
This must be a relay but I have no idea who is broadcasting this so far...
3:25 - 3:50 utc continued w/ music programming but the signal and audio has now faded  into the static
3:53 utc  Static fatigue - I cut the recorder but carrier still there - carrier very weak now, no audio anymore.
I checked them out online - long history of Pirate radio broadcasting in London  (1969 - 1985)
Still do not know who was broadcasting this tonight???
4:02 utc signal back up here to S5 - S7  music programming continues
4:33 utc Off Air briefly then back on - but could not understand what male announcer was saying.
4:35 utc Off Air

Very weak carrier into Chicago at 0327z. Still at the same level at 0357z - no audio.

I also had a weak carrier on 6955, around 0330. I assume it was the Radio Jackie relay, but no audio was making it here.

I checked the SDR waterfall. Absolutely nothing here at all. Not even a carrier.
