The Late Movie, Episode 3 0155Z 6925u 29 Sep 2013
« on: September 29, 2013, 0202 UTC »
Heard some opening announcements...Old Time Movie, Episode 3...I don't know the actual name of the station. Weak to fair signal on the west coast. Now playing some martial sounding music at 0202Z
0205Z Female singing a kind of torch ballad, has a 40's sound to it

Changed the title to The Late Movie...I'm sure that is what I heard.

« Reply #1 on: September 29, 2013, 0205 UTC »
Tuned in at the top of the hour to hear a couple of Late Movie Show IDs, and what sounded like the theme to the Movie of the Week. (same theme music Nick Digilio uses for his movie review segment on WGN radio.)

Music follows.

Unidentified song with a YL singer.
Another UNID song with a YL singer.
Billy Idol, Eyes Without a Face
Tears Run Rings, Marc Almond
I only have eyes for you
UNID OM singer
With the Sun in My Eyes, Bee Gees
UNID OM singer
Them There Eyes, YL singer. Diana Krall maybe?
The Night Has a Thousand Eyes
Just one look
UNID
Look on up at the bottom
I'll Be Your Mirror
Look Into My teardrops, Waylon Jennings
Ode to joy from Clockwork orange
YL with ID and email address
(missed a couple of songs here)
0307: Has anyone here seen me?
Some movie banter over the CBS movie of the week theme tong

Appear to be off at 0310.

Reception isn't very good here tonight, just barely moving the meter on the WJ-8718. SIO 232.

Thanks for the show! I'll be listening out.

I tuned in to weak music at about 0306. Not sure if it was The Late Movie, but I'll be checking the recording on headphones to see what details I can pick out.
Thanks for the show!

SDR recording catch.
0154 Carrier on for about a minute, not sure if unrelated, or TLM tuning up
0157 Trumpet music. Very weak reception this time. I could hear music from time to time, but really down in the noise.
0217 "Eyes Without A Face"
0231 Trumpet music
0243 "The Night Has A Thousand Eyes"
