Playing a civil defense warning/information from the 50's 60's. S7

Basic civil defense warning from the Department Of Defense office of Civil Defense Washington.

The one good piece of advice is rely on radio and not tie up the phone lines as the authorities will need them.

0033 Civil Defense info from the DOD on the Nuclear Attack Warning System.  S9+5 here, and much stronger than the rant.

0042 PF - "Time" - OIC
0049 Bad Company - "Shooting Star"
0055 CCR - "Who'll Stop the Rain?"
0057 Bruce Hornsby - "Mandolin Rain"
0102 Billy Idol? - deep fade here
0107 Petty - "Learning to Fly" - hearing a 2nd stn in the USB?
0111 hearing PPVR ID under the music
0114 ZZT - "Well Dressed Man", War - Low Rider
0122 artist - "Everything About You", Doobies - "China Grove", Bad Co - "Can't Get Enough of Your Love"
0133 Kingsmen - "Louie Louie", Neil Young - "Southern Man", EWG - "Frankenstein"
0145 off, without ID

Very good audio here.  I'm going with Radio Free Whatever, looking at the waterfall.

Thank you for the show!

The one good piece of advice is rely on radio and not tie up the phone lines as the authorities will need them.
For some of you, that's pre NSA wiretaps ;D
+ Equipment: Yaesu FRG 100B, Kenwood R-1000, Yaesu FRG7,
+ Antenna: 75' dipole, height 21', running north and south.  Chicagoland area.
