Define "get soft"...

BTW... they never stopped "tracking the airwaves".  The long-range DF net is automated.
Ops should keep that in mind.

I could, but I think Chris Smolinski wouldn't like that very much... *chuckles*

They will a sodding great big one to find me!

Seriously, though, great to see a number of pirate come on over the airwaves. You guys on the other side of the pond really know how to take advantage - and even we Brits joined in the party... I know *I* did

Well, soft could mean very plainly being scared by the FCC being out and in full force again since the gov't is up and running again.

Is that being "soft", or is that being "smart"?  Not so plain...

Well I'll give you that ff, but when it comes to tracking pirates I like a lot of activity. I understand that the law abiding citizen knows that pirating is illegal, but once you've done pirating- that seems a little old. But of course its true that if the FCC or some organization wasn't regulating the airwaves then it would be chaotic. But the "regulating" they do is more or less running it like a monopoly. There's just about 3 big companies that own just about ever CHR and TOP-40 station in the country. Something seems a bit odd there huh?

No doubt about it, atrain, and they've been picking winners forever.  Back in the day the "Federal Corporate Coddlers" were busy helping RCA and the major networks to consolidate their power.  Now it's Clear Channel and Infinity and Cox and Beasley and and and.  For whatever reason, they're now the "favored ones".  The thing is, we ain't.  And we need to be careful.  Clear Channel's goon squad is back on the job...

But of course its true that if the FCC or some organization wasn't regulating the airwaves then it would be chaotic.

Listen to 20 or 80 meters for a while, listen to the am band at night, then compare those to the "Pirate" band.  Then repeat that sentence again with a straight face.
Now listening on an Afedri SDR with a 450 ft Sky Loop

I'm going downtown tomorrow to have my faces straightened.

They're running a 2-for-the-price-of-one.

They do the thing, where you get your faces powdered, kneaded, and flattened.

You have to, if you want to get into comedy, that is.
