The Peskies aren't just in that region. I had one about two weeks ago that was S9+ on the receiver, mentioned QTH in Michigan. Because I live so near Chicago and Lake Michigan is about 5 blocks from my QTH, I could only surmise I caught an exchange from the high seas of Lake Michigan. Recent law enforcements reports (I've been in law enforcement 35+ years) indicate the Mexican Sinaloa Cartel has taken up roost in Chicago for the past 3-4 years. Would not surprise me if the waterways up here is used for smuggling.
