1/11/2025 2238 UTC 15.0175 USB Heard this station today by complete accident. It was a fluke i was even connected to my receive only loop with either a break or so much resistance my multimeter reads it as a break in the antenna. (it's steel pipe with the joints connected by copper wire jumpers). It's a fluke i was even sitting down at the radio. I just glanced and saw something pop up and when i put the headset on i was hoping for radio pirates. Anyway, It was overdeviating and in the noise so i didnt realize it was USB until late in the game but you could still make out the words in AM mode.

HI.

Do you have a recording? 'cause it seems strange that a NUMBERS stations uses such a frequency (15017,5 kHz), they are normally on the full kHz.

Thanks in advance.

Just speculating here, you may have heard the USAF HFGCS that is on 15016.  Not a numbers station, but more info here.

Default RX location is Wisconsin using various wire antennas. Other RX will be noted.
