I did a careful listen between 0555-0610 UTC on my recording and heard nothing like dance music here.  The only thing I heard was a faint Radio Celestial mixing with the Hudson County, NJ. TIS station.  Dance music with a heavy bass beat would have stood out, even if weak.  I wonder who it was?

Same here. I would say not the usual suspects.

Update
I received communication from the owner of this signal telling me that:
1  - It originated from somewhere in the mountains of Idaho and
2  - The person was using 150 watts carrier.

Ashamed that I did not catch more of this - the audio was impressive, maybe next time if there is a next time?

No indication if there would be another broadcast nor any Station "ID" but I will certainly be keeping an eye on the band.

1710 and 1720 khz are definitely getting more popular this winter.

Noticed about this so I had to chime in- on a trip to the Grand Canyon 3 years ago I had my little tecsun pl-380 with me. One night (8/4/11 according to my log) I noticed some VERY weak music on 1710, which sounded like Dance. Could it be the same station in discussion right now?
