Maybe I'm recommending the obvious but have not seen it yet on this thread.....you are listening on shortwave bands at night, yes?  Shortwave generally works way better after sundown, like in the international frequency areas like 5-15 mhz.

Yes I usually always listen late at night (my night time that is). Yes good point though anyway thanks.
