Radio Nacional da Amazonia 11783.3 khz 1/29/2013

They have been off frequency for several days now. Usually on 11780 & sometimes a little high ,like 11780.1 but this is ridiculous. the parallel 6180 seems on frequency. Heard at 2:52z with ID & some of that nice Brazilian music that always makes me want to dance. I've been listening to them quite a bit this winter as the music from Brazil actually seems to make the temperature in the room rise & with this polar vortex crap.....every little bit helps.

I've noticed this too!  I thought they'd all-out shifted to 11785 to avoid Radio exterior de Espana on 11780, but I guess not.  first noticed on Monday night/Tuesday morning, when Spain had 11780 in Sefardi and Brazil was causing one heck of a het from the higher frequency.  Odd!

That is one of the few times they cause a problem by being off frequency. Most of the time it is no big deal. They seem to have trouble with their 25 meter freq from time to time either causing crazy fm blob spurs or being off freq like now. 6180 not so much trouble.

they appeared to have fixed it the last time I checked.  Sounds like the engineers over there have their heads on straight. :)  They ought to give Cairo a hand.  I wonder what it'd take to sort out those transmitter issues...
