V13 / 9522 kHz / 0800 / Other / 02-24-14 / SIO 444-544

YL w/ 4-digit number groups in CC via Global Tuners Hong Kong xcvr; no luck w/ the Excalibur at my Idaho location.

I just ordered the Pixel RF Pro-1B (very pricey) but I am hoping this improves my reception.  I saw a demonstration between it and a long wire and it picked up the signal where the long wire only picked up noise; the claim of the manufacturer is it only receives the magnetic portion of the signal but I will have to wait and see.  I also purchased a rotor with it, too.

I can't speak for that particular antenna, but as a user of mag loop antennas for hf (forced to do so by condo living) I think you will probably be pleased with the performance. My loops were almost always quieter than the wires, despite losing a few dB in strength. Made a difference in hearing something copyable or nothing at all.

Good luck - I hope you like the antenna!

Thanks!  Are they home made or commercial loops?
