Same as Farley, S9 with very deep fades.  "Let's Pretend" by The Northern Pikes @ 0244z [Shazam ID].
Very good audio on music, very muffled audio on announcer.
Fading seems to have subsided, audio out to nearly 10khz @ 0259z.  No ID heard.

A man is talking over the songs with a muffled voice hard to understand. He said something along the lines of move on there is nothing to see here, go back to 6925, at least that is what it sounded like.
0250 better "nothing to hear here, why are you listening?"
0254: "this is not a broadcast, don't listen please."
At 0259 a female voice said Radio ??? Number One. Didn't understand the important word.

I have been using online receivers because of strong data hash interference in my neighborhood that I believe is caused by Uverse squeezing up to 100mb/sec through ordinary pairs of wires. I don't have Uverse but neighbors do. williamhassig@yahoo.com

S9 here with great audio at 0245 UTC tune-in...end of song, then man announcer mentioning something about going to 6925
0246 UTC "Gold"-John Stewart
0250 UTC Man announcer...what are you doing listening...go to 25 you can't check our audio with ?, into UNID song
0255 UTC "Tell Me Something Good"-Chaka Khan
0259 UTC Familiar tune...sounded like an extended remix loop...instrumental
0303 UTC Man announcer with voiceover at end of song..."Why you would be listening is beyond me"..off abrupt
{Thanks for the show despite the fact that I shouldn't be listening! I guess asking for a QSL is out of the question...if I shouldn't be listening, I shouldn't be asking for a QSL? It would be appreciated anyway!. Come back soon...}
I listened back on the tape several times at 0259 and the lady would seem to be saying "music dead number one". My tape is crystal clear...I have no idea what that means!
{and the winner is "Music Bed Number One"}

Listening to the recording, it sounded like 'Music bed number one'.

wiki info about music bed:

A music bed is a part of a jingle, or alternatively the entire jingle, where there are no sung vocalist. In other words, if refers to a section where only instruments are heard. Music beds make it possible for a voice over to be spoken over the top, without the spoken words being interfered with by the sung vocals. For this reason, companies usually have different cuts of their jingle, so they can use each of the different versions for different purposes, depending on the context

The music bed sounded like a loop of the intro to Devo's "Whip It."

This was another getting hammered by a ute. I could barely hear when it would come up above the noise.

did he say RFM? Is RFM a station?

Radio Free Massachusetts perhaps?  Has H.V. Short come out to play?  He was a helluva transmitter builder in his day...
