Hi Daniel
The station you are hearing is a Travelers Information Station (TIS) from Washington state. Hearing it in Brazil would indicate a good low vhf band opening. Here is their license information in case you want to try to qsl them

http://wireless2.fcc.gov/UlsApp/UlsSearch/licenseFreqSum.jsp?keyLoc=&licKey=3073649&archive=&x=5&y=10

It seems to be a pretty low power station.

Hi my friend glimmer twin !

Thanks for your reply ! I remembered that 2 days before hearing WQJW689 ( 03/14/2014 ), I was able to hear several utilities stations around these frequencies ( 33620, 33820, 33840 & 33940 KHz )....how we could call this "phenomena" ?? I´ll be very happy if this "oddness" happens quite often !!!

73, Daniel...
