Radio Taiwan Special July German Service Broadcasts

I received an email in German from RTI and translated via software program.

Dear listeners,

In July 2026, Radio Taiwan International will broadcast German-language programs on several days directly from the Tamsui transmission site in Taiwan.


Broadcast schedule and frequencies:
All broadcast times are in UTC (CEST = UTC+2)


17:00–17:30 UTC  15145 kHz
17:30–18:00 UTC  11995 kHz


July 3 (Friday), July 4 (Saturday), July 5 (Sunday)
July 10 (Friday), July 11 (Saturday), July 12 (Sunday)
July 17 (Friday), July 18 (Saturday), July 19 (Sunday)
July 24 (Friday), July 25 (Saturday), July 26 (Sunday)

We would also like to note that in August (starting Friday, August 7), RTI will broadcast French-language programs directly from the Tamsui transmission site on the same frequencies and at the same times on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

So, by "why", I assume you mean sending emails in German to me. Four years ago, I sent the German service a reception report because I could identify all the songs in a music program - I presume they kept the email address on file and send out updates.  They do extend unsolicited Holiday Greetings annually:
