After a quick field strength survey last night it appears that something is amiss.
The vertical is putting out a good signal but the inverted v is wayyy down in comparison.
I used my last piece of coax to feed the inverted v which is very old and I didn't
measure its loss. This was buried for awhile so it might've picked up moisture.

So the machine might go silent long enough for a coax loss measurement and
will notify all if that be the case.

In the mean time its running until further notice.

Hi all, it's Friday morning about 1542z. I have been watching 12889.230 khz for about a half hour now. I am now seeing what looks like V's then a space of several seconds,(also hearing them too but very weak) then the V's come back. They just faded out now so I'll sit here as long as the xyl will let me HI HI..

The only thing surprising is that you hear the "D's" at all!
It may be Sunday before I get a chance to obtain new coax
and swap it out! You have only confirmed my suspicions but
maybe a few more reports will be offered even with a sick
feedline.

Thanks for the report!   ;)

Maintenance being attempted
Test on 12.888 shut down until problem is found on "D" antenna.

Cheers all!

The DUAL ANTENNA 12.888 TEST IS ONCE AGAIN UNDERWAY!
STILL RUNNING THE VERTICAL ON "V" AND THE DIPOLE ON "D"

There is a small frequency shift on the transmitted frequency between
the two antennas. Obviously there is a slight pulling of the oscillator
as the two antennas have a different load impedance.

No buffer stage ... just an oscillator and final!
Let me know if you can hear these two...

Thanks and good listening.

If I had to say, D is coming in slightly stronger than V, overall. Although it does very a bit with fading. The difference is not large.

D is the stronger here at 1935 UTC, on multiple antennas including one that is vertical.

On my 12 MHz inverted V, D is about 8 dB higher than V.

I heard a few D's in California.  I'm staying quiet about it before I start getting taxed on my radio signal reception.

Not very helpful I know, but I'm seeing neither D nor V here in SC.
I caught a handful of the usual suspects this evening (OK, MO, Blinky, Pike 78, TS, and OR), but neither of the hoped-for D or V beacons.

I see a very weak continuous carrier in the neighborhood that I would expect to see your signal in, but nothing resembling what the others are getting.

Maybe I'll see them when I can get the other antenna hung.  Until then, I'll still be keeping an ear out.
