UNID 6945 KHZ LSB 0132 UTC AUGUST 9, 2014
« on: August 09, 2014, 0134 UTC »
I'm hearing a Spanish pop ballad with lady vocalist here at S9, with seemingly non-pesky audio at 0132 UTC tune-in
0135 UTC Another Spanish pop ballad, man singer (I can hear that pesky with the echo in the background, so whatsis? Have we shown the pescadores how to be pirates?
(Maybe this is Portuguese and not Spanish)
0139 UTC Man announcer...mentioned radio, so maybe a rebroadcast of some other station?
0142 UTC Spanish pop tune
(There is a man talking over the song playing at 0146 UTC...don't know if different broadcaster or part of the program....peskies are getting clever I think! ;D )
0148 UTC Spanish pop tune
0150 UTC Music stopped for a bit, but the long winded guy was still going strong. A man announcer said a few things over the long winded guy, then started up the music again at 0051 UTC with a pop tune. I'm not certain, but sounds Portuguese... ???
(If I didn't know any better, I'd say this broadcaster is trying to drown out the long winded guy!)
0202 UTC What a mess now! The long winded guy is running his mouth, another pesky is humming a tune, and Gloria Gaynor with "I Will Survive" is in there too! Hmmm...somebody needs to fish or cut bait here!
Hey, peskie partiers! You need a moderator! Or maybe we need Wolverine to come in and drown y'all out...
0213 UTC I've had enough...it's turned into a cacophony of chaos...ummm, thanks for the show and please QSL  :D

UnId, 6945LSB, 0133, 8.8.14.  Spanish pop tune, man talking in Spanish, 2 more similar songs, more talk, 0151 off or lost.

Poor to occasionally fair here.

Has been heard here since around 0125.  I thought I heard "Pipes" (the pesc with the deep bass voice) here earlier.  Might be his tx?

Don't matter; click your demodulator into Party Mode...nice stuff!

0203 Someone playing "I Will Survive", some guy talking over the mx, and a drunk-sounding guy singing over both.
0209 Yikes!   ONJ - "I Honestly Love You"  --  Thanks for playing my request!

Seems a bit noisy tonight but I copy music on 6945 lsb just above the noise level. Very tough copy when voice but music is easily heard.

6945 LSB / 0148+ / 2014.08.09
Having a very difficult time pulling this one out of the static mud here. Can make out bits of music and sometimes sounds like multiple stations piling on each other.  Got slightly better, but still very poor copy, when tuned a little off-frequency.
Just a boy with his radio and some wire.
Location: Omaha, Nebraska
QSLs always appreciated.

Also heard here in northern New Jersey from 0147 to 0205 UTC on 6945 LSB. Difficult to copy, sounded like two programs at once. Male announcer in Spanish. Did not ID anything until Gloria Gaynor sang "I Will Survive" at 0200 UTC. Fair signal at best.
