A beacon 8000.5 CW 1426 UTC 16 Oct 2014

This sounds like the beacon I reported back in March: http://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,15835.0.html

Hearing what sounds like a CW A, with a long period of about half a minute between transmissions.

Chris, I am hearing 5 different letters there this afternoon, L M N O P.  The spacing seems to be anywhere from 25 secs to about 40-45 secs.  Hard to nail down as QSB with weak to fair signal strength varies over the course of the cycle of the 5 letters.

That's what I have been hearing here this afternoon when I have had a chance to listen.  Hope that helps.  Hopefully prop will get better over the next month or two.

Just heard some activity on 8000.5 - actually sounded like voice for a short moment - also CW N, O and P.
