Hi guys,

Do you still copy the Cuban Babbler? I noticed logs in the Enigma newsletter but haven't been able to copy the stations during the past few years. I'd like to hear it again. Logs are also very welcome

Ary, I have not heard the Babbler for over a year now.  Times and freqs jsut do not work out well for me I think.

Freqs are
6529 kHz around 1300 UTC, also heard as early as 0900
5637 kHz 0000 UTC onwards, often heard around 1200

I used to run across the babbler on 6529 during my local early mornings 10-13 UTC quite often but as Token says it has been well over a year (seems like a couple of years) since I last found the station. I don't think I ever went looking for the babbler but I often wake up during the night & turn on the radio & start tuning down from the last station I tuned in which is almost always around 6925, looking for late night oddities & would just stumble across it. I'm very spotty with keeping a log the last few years but its been a long time since I've heard it.

I can't recall the last time I've heard the Babbler, at least a year or two. I'll have to try for it this fall and winter, when propagation would be best.

Hi folks:
First time posting ( I think) over here on Underground. Caught the Babbler last Jan-02 around 0155 Z  Like most of you, by complete accident. Parked and recorded for a few weeks at that time for weeks afterward same time but no joy. Caught the tale end that day and grabbed a quick recording. Not many out there. Sounds like they are broadcasting from a Havana Coffee shop    I'm gonna set up over there again this month and see what happens. I'm real close to Cuba from my QTH and things seem to have dialed up over there in the last few months.

The babbler was heard on 5637 kHz on 10-12-2014 0330z in a cheerful mood, almost singing his numbers
