Frederic Chopin Radio 6940 AM 0123 UTC MARCH 2, 2015
« on: March 02, 2015, 0124 UTC »
Piano music at 0123 UTC sign on and ID that sounded like Frederic Chopin Radio (I'll have to listen back on the recording later!) Classical music with S8 signal and great audio  :)
0132 UTC ID by man announcer
This is actually very relaxing this evening! Seems to be all classical piano compositions, presumably composed by Frederic Chopin?
0142 UTC ID
0201 UTC ID, Same song as at beginning of show, then OFF at 0202 UTC

That was a pleasant change of pace! Seems that the shortwave spectrum lends itself to this kind of music :) Thanks Frederic Chopin Radio!

Tuned in at 0156utc, fair sig with moderate rapid fading, heard classical music on piano, ID, music that sounded like a national anthem, then off at 0202½utc, Kenwood R2000 and 7mhz dipole.
Drake R8, Kenwood R-2000, Panasonic RF-4900, Sony 2010, Realistic DX440, Grundig Satellit 500, 7mhz backyard dipole, Mt Prospect, IL 20miles (32km) NW of downtown Chicago. I have been using online receivers because of strong data hash interference in my neighborhood that I believe is caused by Uverse squeezing up to 100mb/sec through ordinary pairs of wires. I don't have Uverse but neighbors do. williamhassig@yahoo.com

S7 signal here in CA with the sun up a bit and off with the sun near sunset. I heard 2 IDs and they were pretty messed up. Difficult to hear/understand. They had the same number of syllables as Frederick Chopin Radio. But the music was nice and pleasant.
