Insane Radio 6939 AM 0025 UTC 14 Jun 2015
« on: June 14, 2015, 0026 UTC »
Just signed on with repeated ID, into music. S7, but QRM on both the LSB and USB from different UTEs.
6939 is not a great frequency choice here, right now.

I'm getting a fair signal on 6939.1 USB (with the Passband Tuning at about 2 PM). The airplane sounding ute is a major problem on LSB. Hearing UNID music at 0031 UTC
Signal jumped up at 2043 UTC and has been listenable since.

Fair signal but noisy here. Signal seems a little distorted using DSB. SAM mode seems best and signal just got stronger. Lots of noise reduction dialed up and sounding pretty good right now. Thanks for the show!

Unk song playing

Catching Insane Radio here also but just above the noise at a S6. Catching bits of music popping up at peaks and some talking. Using USB to hear a little better. No problem with UTE stations here, just not enough signal to hear clearly.:-\

I barely detected a carrier on 6939.1khz and occasional audio under tons of static. Storms in area. Disconnected antenna and turned off set. R8 & dipole.
Drake R8, Kenwood R-2000, Panasonic RF-4900, Sony 2010, Realistic DX440, Grundig Satellit 500, 7mhz backyard dipole, Mt Prospect, IL 20miles (32km) NW of downtown Chicago. I have been using online receivers because of strong data hash interference in my neighborhood that I believe is caused by Uverse squeezing up to 100mb/sec through ordinary pairs of wires. I don't have Uverse but neighbors do. williamhassig@yahoo.com
