6955 USB, 10 Aug 2015, 0150z
Radio Free Whatever
Mika - Elle Me Dit
Far East Movement Feat - Like a G6
Sounds like Daft Punk remix
0201z: Radio Free Whatever ID, but tough copy through heavy QRN crashes.  Still, may be the best signal I've heard this summer for RFW.
0210z: Funkytown remix
0213z: Beds Are Burning remix, Madonna "Celebrate" remix
0227z: DJ talking about modern tech enabling easier mixing to match beats compared with old days of club remixing.
0228z: Off.

Fair to good through crashy QRN.  Good punchy audio, really makes a difference through the Palstar SP30 speaker which can handle thumpy bass better than the smaller Optimus XTS3 cube.

Off-air recording added to my archive from last 35 minutes of show, including sign-off ID.

Heard this after I had logged off the PC...at first I thought it was XLR8 coming in at S8 with a really long dance mix track at 0106 UTC tune in! Electronica rhythm with OM singer repeating what sounded like "I Only Miss You When I'm Dreaming" many, many times. Finally, the voice of DJ Dickweed comes on with an ID at 0125 UTC mentioning this was "a little test" and that Stavin wasn't there because he hated disco. DJ Dickweed was mixing this right now and he was trying out a new idea he called "Frequency"...I put the NRD on timer and fell asleep with visions of the dance floor in my head 8) Thanks for the change of pace!
QSL's to poorbrookking >at< aol.com are greatly appreciated! All reception and postings using My radio, My antenna, and generally in real time(excluding posting of SSTV images!).
