Radio Free Whatever - 6950 usb - 2300z Oct 16, 2015
« on: October 16, 2015, 2303 UTC »
Radio Free Whatever putting a great signal into New Hampshire tonight, S9+10

2300z DJ Dickweed tried to recruit a lady DJ (hot piece of ass) but failed, tsk...  I don't know why, I would think that "Hey, wanna see my radio station" would be a great pick-up line.

2337z Someone on frequency called "DJ Dickweed do you copy?" a couple of times.
2338z Signal has dropped to S7 but still good copy.
0000z Almost gone now, too close I guess  :(

0013z It's DX time for RFW, with BOR copying him on the far left coast (with his sunset 1 hour and 20 minutes away) and Comel copying him on him on a remote receiver in the French Alps (Grenoble).

0014z Signing off... Thanks DJ Dickweed

Nice and loud (Happy Monday) bouncing between S9 and S9+30.  A solid S9 with the attenuator on.

DJ Dickweed the propagation gods are with you tonight - hearing you nicely on the portable Grundig G3 with just the standard telescopic whip antenna (indoors with the local QRN and everything!)

Thanks for the show.  Always enjoy hearing RFW.

Tuned in at 2316utc, good/fair sig, also listening to Fred Flintstone show with another radio on 7490.
Drake R8, Kenwood R-2000, Panasonic RF-4900, Sony 2010, Realistic DX440, Grundig Satellit 500, 7mhz backyard dipole, Mt Prospect, IL 20miles (32km) NW of downtown Chicago. I have been using online receivers because of strong data hash interference in my neighborhood that I believe is caused by Uverse squeezing up to 100mb/sec through ordinary pairs of wires. I don't have Uverse but neighbors do. williamhassig@yahoo.com

Just tuned at 2309 UTC to the end of a tune, then silence and Dickweed befuddled by a song that didn't play, into a song called "Paul Is Alive".
(Have to run errands for a bit, but the recorder is running....will listen back later on! :))
Rock solid S8 signal here sounding great as usual....
QSL's to poorbrookking >at< aol.com are greatly appreciated! All reception and postings using My radio, My antenna, and generally in real time(excluding posting of SSTV images!).

About S8 here with low noise :)  Sounds like Morrisey @ 2335z.  Sounds best @ 6949.992 KHz  Live break @ 2337z.

Another live break @0008z, Digweed having some trouble playing a song (I can relate) signal starting to take some deep dives.

Working on dinner here, but checking back from time to time.
Checked back @ 0015z and appears to have gone QRT.  Thanks for the show!

Very nice audio, BTW.

Morrissey at 2236 UTC and into DJ talk, then another station under RFW calling DJ Dickweed.  Strong S8 signal here with great audio.  Thanks Dickweed!

EDIT: 0004 UTC, S9 to +10 now.  Really impressive audio quality and nice song selection.

Good signal at 2337utc in Lansing, Michigan...
NICE to hear a GOOD SIGNAL, first one here in a while.... DON'T STOP!
Sounds GREAT!

DJ Dickweed talking about poor propogation, and 1.5 beers left.. lol

Probably would be S-9 if I wasn't missing half an antenna.  S-7 as is.

Into "Wrong Number" by the Cure at 2339.

Later shouted out on these logs-- the tree is still laying there, it's an insurance job, I can't get the antenna fully reinstalled until that is gone... LOL

Complete fadeout shortly before 0000 :(

S9+ and good audio @ 2338.  Announced that he is looking for a new assistant.
"Wrong Number" by The Cure @ 2339.
2357 - "Psycho" by Muse
Big fade at 0003, but still fair copy with S4 to S5 signal.
In and out of the S3 noise @ 0012, barely audible.
Thanks for the show!

0007Z Fair copy on the west coast...not really moving the S meter but the background noise is low so able to make out everything.
