WPOD 6930 USB 0124 UTC November 1 2015
« on: November 01, 2015, 0130 UTC »
I just happened to tune in to what must have been the tail end of this transmission. Poor quality modulation and a weak signal into the SF East Bay. All I heard was one song before the carrier dropped. Feel a bit sheepish that I can't name the tune as it is a well-known comic/goofy popular tune (from a TV show, possibly).

I wonder if anyone caught this on the West Coast?

Can hear a definite signal here in eastern Nebraska @ 0135.
Signal deep in noise floor and can not get clean copy.
Just a boy with his radio and some wire.
Location: Omaha, Nebraska
QSLs always appreciated.

S5, noisy copy.  "Frankenstein", "Dead Man's Party" by Oingo Boingo @ 0135.
WPOD ID @ 0137 and into "Werewolves of London".  Agree that audio sounds a little tinny, but making it through the noise.
Still in there @ 0154 with a steady S5 signal with "Heaven and Hell".  Another clear ID @ 0155.

Signal is at or just above the noise here during half a dozen checks over the last 15 minutes. Folks in the chat say it's WPOD :)
QSL's to poorbrookking >at< aol.com are greatly appreciated! All reception and postings using My radio, My antenna, and generally in real time(excluding posting of SSTV images!).

0136 UTC Werewolfs of London
Break
0140 UTC Bing Crosby
0144 UTC Monster Mash
0147 UTC Rolling paper commercial. and ID. both hard to copy

Listening on 6.930 USB, signal is only S1 to S4, but quite listenable in western CO, on a N-S trapped dipole.
