First time hearing this so I'm not sure what category it goes under. I've been listening to a series of musical tones in AM mode which transmits for 20 seconds or so then goes off and comes back on. It appears on varying frequencies between 3575 and 3580
kHz. Very strange! Any ideas on what this is??

It could be JT65A mode.  Runs for about 46 seconds each minute.  Sounds kinda like an icecream truck.
It is a very minimal data mode, but good for working long distance with low power.
