Great signal here in the middle of the country.  Just concluded an episode of "The Adventures of Chicken Man." Repeated IDs as WABC AM & FM.  Enjoyable show.
Just a boy with his radio and some wire.

Nice signal & audio, with lotsa WABC jingles, DJ segments, & ads. Very different sounding from today's automated pop music-formatted stations

Thanks for the show!

Dec 5, on 6955 AM, from 0122 to 0219; programming of WABC (yes,
maybe a mixture with something else?); "from our studios on beautiful
Neely Henry Lake" (Alabama), with weather by "meteorologists James
Spann from the ABC 33/40 weather center".

My audio - https://app.box.com/s/wt5iewwkgad0jufazvorvswlr9majg8r  .

Ron, listening at Asilomar State Beach, California

BTW - James Spann is still at ABC 33/40 ( http://abc3340.com/weather )!!

Hi, new guy here, first post.  In fact, it was the Russ Knight-faux WABC show last night that brought me here.   It's been years since I actively searched for pirates and I guess I've been a victim of Brother Stair overload ;-)    I've got lots of vintage receivers but lately have been doing most of my HF listening with the Airspy SDR with SDR# software using the new Spyverter HF converter that (full disclosure) I helped design.  The advantage of having a waterfall display is really significant when  you consider that last night at least two pirates were on at the same time.    And since SDR# makes it easy to record audio or spectrum, I grabbed a few snippets and have posted them in MP3 for for anyone who couldn't hear this 3 hour program live:

 http://www.filedropper.com/russknightshow1
 http://www.filedropper.com/russknightshow2
 http://www.filedropper.com/wabcpiratesign-offfull_1

The signal strength was excellent here in Illinois - typically a 40-45dB signal to noise ratio better-than-usual AM quality with the sync detector and a bit of DNR to take out the hiss.  As a huge fan of the Top 40 radio era I'm hoping for future programs.   The talent and production values of this show were high enought it could air on any commercial oldies station.   Although I suppose WABC would take issue with someone using those great old PAMS jingles...

This seems to have been this guy. http://www.440int.com/_rknigh.html

From what I gather, he died in 2006.

Whoever was airing this, has a quite the powerful transmitter. I was very impressed.
