Too bad they can't collect these fines.  There is a certain former Ham that continues to operate on 14,285 khz when ever there is a hurricane or other type emergency.

Not only was he fined but the commission didn't let him re-new his license but he continues to broadcast a voice loop during emergencies.  He was fined for such operation because his station has no control operator.  And I have found no evidence that any of the fines that the Commission laid down, were ever paid.

And if the facts were known the 14313 khz mess is partly due to his actions... a collection of his followers as the story goes.

I was at a radio shop picking up some parts recently and two CB'er's I know were laughing about the crap that goes on on 14313.

When two "Big Dawg" freebanders notorious for running overmodualated heavy-reverb audio via high power amps out the yin-yang are making fun of a ham frequency, you know it's pretty bad.

I have known many bad CB'ers and Hams in my life and I have found the latter to be the worse because they have head sizes ten times that of their hat sizes...

Yes I know them... even had coffee with a few of them but I don't invite them over to meet my friends... nuff said...
