6960 khz AM S7 - S9 strong audio but compressed? - no lower mid to bass tones?
00:37 utc - noticed your carrier tuning up on 6950khz (in RTN's upper side band at the time)
00:45 utc carrier was off and on until now - on with modulation.
00:45 - 00:47 utc As soon as you went on with audio you tuned up to 6960.15 khz then adjusted back to 6960.00 khz  S7 - S9 signal

The tune played was an interesting Native American like tune, an unusual mix of drums, voices, UNID instruments, very modern, not
sure how else to describe it but I really liked it! Sorry I did not get an audio recording but here is a screen cap of your signal.

 - Who ever you were - Thanks

OK, then I'll change the post title from UNID to Canadian Radio After Dark ......and thanks for the info on the very cool music.  http://atribecalledred.com/
