Per the article, "All of us in the Hobby Kit Group urge you to continue your pursuit.  Some of the nation’s top electronic engineers, scientists, and entrepreneurs started by learning and building hobby kits… pass it on to your kids!"

...Just don't count on us!  There's Velleman and others out there so it's not as though there is no place to go.  Hey, they are a business.  If there's no money in it, then they should discontinue that line of business.
