Pancho Villa on 6950 AM @ 0457 FEB 21
« on: February 21, 2016, 0457 UTC »
Pancho Villa on 6950 USB @ 0457 FEB 21
Huge signal with station ID in English and Spanish.
Pancho now speaking and discussing Donald Trump with another OM @ 0502.
Also heard from Sarah Palin, Glenn Hauser, Jay Smilkstein, PeeWee Herman, Jonah Hill(?) and I think that was Jack Nicholson doing the opening intro.
Apparently off air @ 0512.
After station went off air, SS ops came on a few moments after on USB, not usual LSB.

(KULP, Voice of Pancho Villa)

0501- listening in USB and bits of audio every so often
0506- still detecting a weak carrier
0509- carrier off.
0510- carrier back on
0511- off again.
Darn was hoping to finally hear Pancho Villa....oh well  :'(

Nothing heard here... Even Bro $care is gone but 40 CW is busy so the rcvr is working
(edit) 0519 - sounds like Mexican 2-way comms on USB fut "real" Mexicans seem to prefer LSB...

No audio, just a tiny carrier...
0507z hearing the high pitch voice

As Tom points out, 40m CW is tall grass...

Oh well, I tried...

Heard here nicely, but ill-timed internet issues prevented me posting at the time.  Heard 0457 sign on with repeated IDs in Spanish until program began at 0500, with `Jack Nicholson` talking about contest for tonight`s Poncho.   Off at 0511 after Pee Wee Herman piece.

Heard here on the SDR recording from 0456 sign on, there was a carrier visible. Very weak, SIO 111 or so most of the time, a few peaks to SIO 222.
Off at 0510.
