NDB's February best...(Australia)
« on: March 04, 2016, 0855 UTC »
The summer season has been good this year despite high storm noise on the NDB band, New Zealand beacons have not been heard since 13th Dec 2015 as the band has taken on a northerly aspect in Australia.

A total of 181 Australian NDB NavAid beacons will be decommissioned on 26th May 2016 due to advances in aviation technology, some have already been turned off during 2015.

A small number of privately owned and operated NDB's are not included in the initial 181 operated by Air Services Australia.  So not long to go before most Australian NDB's disappear forever. :o
