9.330MHz & 9.155MHz AM Numbers Station.
« on: March 06, 2016, 0809 UTC »
Around 0730z I came across a thumping 10dB over signal on 9.330MHz AM mode with a buzzer background, then musical tone followed by female operator announcing mixed letters/numbers in blocks of five every two or three minutes.  The numbers were spoken in Spanish language, transmission ceased at 0748z.

Maybe Cuba?

At 1030z I came across the same station, this time on 9.155MHz AM, same format as 9.330MHz explained above. Signal report 5X4 at best.

Yes, HM01 has a regular schedule that includes those frequencies.

Looking-Glass, here is a recording of the HM01 format, the part you are describing starts about 3:25 into the video.

Thanks gentlemen, it's HM01 for sure from Cuba, the YouTube link from Token is exactly the same lady and format that I have heard on both frequencies.

With the softening of relations with the USA and the west in general this station maybe on borrowed time... ;D
