I can't believe what this sold for! I wish I hadn't sold mine in the 90's.....it was a great portable and the synchronous detection was unique for a portable at that time.

Well, contrary to this extremely rare occurrence, 2010s
are not generally going for this much if they are in new or
near new condition with open box.  And arguably there are
other radios -- notably the Eton E1 -- that actually surpass
the 2010.

Don't forget, the 2010 used an AM stereo decoder IC as part of its sync detector and can easily be modified to receive c-quam transmissions  ;)
