UNID beeping, 13560 kHz AM, 4/7/16 0224 UTC
« on: April 07, 2016, 0234 UTC »
It was on a cycle of 55 beeps per minute with the minute marked by a double beep, but as of now the double beeps are spread about three minutes apart.

Will post link to video shortly, but it's still going on as of right now (0233z).

Google it.  ISM frequency.

Lots of hits, including one by Token himself.

@ JCMaxwell, I saw that, but it doesn't identify what this particular broadcast is.

EDIT 0248 Could it be one of these things?

I don't know, MDK, but I apologize for the abruptness of my reply above.  Apparently I shouldn't post after a few drinks. :)

I hope you find the source.

If it seems to be local in nature you might take a portable rig to any nearby factories and drive around them. Might find where it's coming from.

No worries JC.  ;D

Interesting idea Josh. I thought this was something most of you in America could hear (it was still on this morning, about 1300z - not at home now so can't check to see if it's on now).

There are many things that produce similar signals in this frequency range.  Laser power supplies, RFID, NFC, etc.  In my case I have a local signal that is just like what you posted, and it turns out to be related to the cable TV / Internet provider, it is some kind of security monitor that uses RF to tell if the cable has been accessed or spliced without permission.  I found this out totally by accident when talking with one of the cable maintenance guys, and noticing the signal fluctuating as he was working on the pole near my house.

However I have detected a similar signal miles away from any inhabited structure / area also.

Sorry to bump an older topic, but I've heard this sound as well, and I think it's related to either an RFID reader nearby or a cell phone with its NFC turned on and "listening".  I've heard them at a few different beep intervals, so to speak.
