Very tough copy but definitely there at 1903z OM talking - maybe an S5 at best - signal slowly getting stronger by 1909z music now. OM continual talk thru 1928z.
Much better by 1945z with music.
OM & YL with IDs and schedule/frequencies in English - multiple mentions of Niger.
Off after two songs at 1958z.
Very nice.

BTW: The correct webpage of the station is www.radionigerdeltavop.com instead of www.nigerdeltaradiovop.com which was announced on-air yesterday.

Music and OM weak in the noise at 1907z on 7/8/16 on 11980AM.

I'm assuming it's this station.

I'll have to check that website out. I've got several old friends from that region, mostly in the Cross River Territory. Most were boy soldiers in the Biafran War, others are members of princely families. However, there that means your family is the traditional authority over a couple-three towns and a bit of the surrounding countryside. One guy I knew is now a King, which boggles my mind, he could barely walk and chew gum when I knew him.

I've been worried about those guys due to the oil war in the Delta over the past few years and the general chaos that is Nigeria.

A listening tip for this particular area. Listen very carefully for English words you recognize. A lot of the time these fellows are speaking English, but their accent is so pronounced, it can be very hard to understand. Once you get the rhythm, different syllable stresses, and slightly irregular word order down, they're fairly easy to understand. It takes a little time, but it's worth it.
