4940 Sao Tome

4940   SAO TOME. VoA - Pinheira. Noted s/on 2028 for the weekdays Hausa service to WAf. The old-style Yankee Doodle prelude, don't hear that much these days. A weakish signal just rising above the noise. This 30 min daily broadcast is the only transmission from Pinheira on this frequency now. English broadcasts replace Hausa on the weekends. The Botswana outlet 10 kHz below has a much stronger signal than this freq.  Sept 8
