Radio Gaga 6925 AM/DSB 0145 UTC 10 Sep 2016
« on: September 10, 2016, 0215 UTC »
On/testing in AM to start.  Seems to be in double side-band now.  Weak in AM, fair in DSB, just above the noise.
ID confirmed in chatroom.
Playing a variety of music, "After the Gold Rush", "American Woman", You Oughta Know", "Astronomy Domine".
Some nice peaks up to S5.
0216 - "Back In The High Life Again"
0222 - "Back On The Chain Gang"
0254 - still there, S3 to S4 with "On Broadway" by The Drifters
0256 - "Hey Big Brother" by Rare Earth
0258 - nice clear ID at sign-off.
Thanks for the show!

MDK2, if your radio has a DSB option you can use that but, due to selective fading, it is usually best to pick one of the sidebands.

DSB?! Cool! I hear it S4 here. Been using it to calibrate my SDR for USB vs LSB. Thank you for this show!

MDK2, DSB is selectable on many SDR programs. Perhaps your next radio could be something like an SDR Play? At $150 it's a steal man. Just got mine about a month ago and it's awesome!

0224 S9 peaks into Denver.

(What's the correct way to listen to something in DSB? Just choose one? It sounds very weird in AM.)
Denver, CO.
SDRPlay RSPdx & RSP2pro, Airspy Discovery HF+, Icom IC-7100, Grundig Satellit 750, Realistic DX-300, Tecsun PL-600.
