So this is what I've found so far:
- The signal I hear on 100 kHz is absolutely not LORAN-C, but a very horrible blotch of QRM.
- Using the AFE822x with phasing, was able to mostly phase out the noise and hear the LORAN-C signal.
- Once phased, MultiMode was able to pick out two stations.
- On the Perseus with a ALA1530S+ way out back (different antenna than what the AFE822x is using), it also picks it up.
- This is the fun part: With the Perseus, ALA1530S+, and two other radios into an antenna switch, and the antenna switch set to disconnected, still get hammered with the QRM.
- Unplugged the other two non-used receivers so its just Perseus & the loop. Still coming in. With the switch set to disconnected. Yeah, whatever the hell it is, its coming down the feedline, somehow.
- Traced around the house and noise seems to be on the wiring & the cold water pipes. Mostly rules out the meter, as its 900 MHz, according to the records with the FCC. Doubtful the company would lie about this).
- When rotating the loop, that noise is at a minimum when perpendicular to the house. However, in that position, can just barely hear LORAN-C.
Turned off a few new things and its not the new things. Have a couple of other things to check (not going to shut off the main breaker right now as its 0 deg F outside with impending snow storm.)
