Mystery CW stations...can any one ident?
« on: December 23, 2016, 0559 UTC »
The following have been heard over the past three nights/mornings and are a puzzle, who and what are they and where are they?  Surely someone on HFU has either heard them or can provide further insight?  Would be much appreciated.

5.245.6MHz  CW  T4D sending groups of three letters and one number, different groups but always starts with "T4D".  1923z at 419 report.

5.447MHz  CW  Time Signal?? concise pips for each second with the sixth a long dash, heard two mornings now, quite strong 1627z 539 report and 1806z 579 report today.

4.003MHz  CW  "de 2QLC 2QLC 2QLC V NG3Y NG3Y NG3Y"  been hearing this for months, same format, no change. Also 4.859MHz.

4.859MHz  CW  - as above- Signal here is usually stronger and also CW slower, different transmitter and different location??  Been heard for months.

4.532MHz  CW  "de RIS9 RIS9 RIS9 V MJ8F MJ8F MJ8F" seems to be sister station as 2QLC, same pattern/format, been heard for many months.  1612z 559 report.

I found a few weeks back that someone mentioned on this site that RIS9 was possibly Macedonian?  I don't think so as the band is not open to Europe when I hear it but wide open to Asia so maybe between China and Sub Continent, but not Europe. RIS9 is also on two other frequencies (3.770MHz & 8.060MHz) still calling MJ8F.

Thanks in advance...Jack VK2XQ.
