Excellent signal from New Smyrna Beach FL with reading of Declaration of Independence (Preamble) followed by patriotic music.

SIO 434 with occasional fades with the randomwire Squirreltenna on the Grundig Satellit 750.

7/4/10
6950.6 AM
0534-0540z: "God Bless America" followed by Radio Ronin Shortwave ID and e-mail address.

SINPO=24322, just barely audible outdoors with Sony 2010 in AM sync mode. About comparable to AFN on 5446.5 here at same time.

(Gopher Stomp, TX - Sony ICF 2010 w/ whip outdoors)

0545z: Hendrix "Star Spangled Banner" Woodstock, indoors with Magnavox D2935 portable on the whip. Assuming still RRS, very weak and fadey.
0549z: Ray Charles "America the Beautiful"
0552z: Off or lost carrier after what sounded like closing ID, couldn't quite copy clearly.

Since 0545z, indoors with Magnavox D2935 portable on the whip. This portable loves the AM pirates, usually picks 'em up better than the Palstar or Sony 2010.
That li'l ol' DXer from Texas

Al: Palstar R30C & various antennae
