UNID 6925 USB 0230 UTC 7 January 2017
« on: January 07, 2017, 0237 UTC »
UNID station, 6925 kHz, USB mode, about 0230 UTC, 7 January 2017.  Very weak at first but came up a bit.  By 0232 I could hear the start of Crazy Train, Ozzy Osbourne.

Then at 0235 it was either covered by or changed to a digital signal, maybe FAX.

SSTV at about 0239 UTC, too weak to get a decode but some mode that resulted in a short SSTV, so maybe not one of the Scottie or Martin modes.  (Edit, was Robot 24 mode)

And apparently off after the SSTV.

(edit)  Here is the image, I had to go back to the recording and clean it up a bit before I could get a decode on it.

Hearing something here at 02:54utc music but he is difficult to hear sense there is some interference on the frequency! Female singer singing just a moment ago! Now hearing some type of skit Merry Merry life is but a dream hearing this a couple times. Hearing it better on 6924.80 khz at this time, still hearing two girls singing like kids!Signal still there at 03:07UTC about S5 here in Western South Carolina yet to hear a ID of station. Signal tends to fade up and then back down just enough to hear music or male speaking.

I was hearing something very faint around 0252-0253, but it was too tough to actually say it wasn't my imagination. But since slowtrain was hearing it too, I'll take that as independent confirmation and not a sign of early onset senility.  ;D

Absolutely nothing in NY last night unfortunately but based on Token's partial SSTV decode I think it's safe to say that this was Skippy Radio. I have posted a recent SSTV decode from Skippy Radio in the past 2 weeks.
