Fading in and out of the noise here since 0129 UTC. Best in USB...I can hear an OM talking but nada on the copy
0138 UTC Signal came up a bit here...KIPM op telling a story
0148 UTC S4 here now since the change from AM to USB! ""Our lives are like accidents...We all go about our business as if nothings wrong...We don't remember anything", then music and something about a clown playing Gershwin on a grand piano and a couple locked in passionate embrace
0154 UTC Deep fade

0218- signal came up a bit, heard OM say "I'll be back soon with another show"
0219- giving a PO Box in Nebraska for reports
0221- OM said "You've been listening to Alan Maxwell..." then synth voice saying "end of transmission"
0222- spacey instrumental music
0227- OM said "You are about to participate in a great adventure"  S3-4 signal now
0232- KIPM ID repeated and PO Box given
0233- CW (Pee Wee ID) into "Setting Sun" Blucas  S5-6 signal now

That's great! The happiest I ever heard Max was a night when we were on the phone and James Brownyard came on with his "Root Beer Madness" parody for the first time.

One of his Alan' reasons for doing KIPM was to generate copycats and knockoffs of the station. After two plus years he finally got his wish. It was a big moment for him to have someone not only with the capability to do a quality knockoff, but the power to cover the country with big AM signal. We were rolling on the floor nearly 2000 miles apart!

Thanks for the great memory, Pee-Wee!
