Thanks! Yesterday I may have caught it right at morning startup when the sun hits the solar panel. It has been there a few years now and maybe the battery is old. I have to get out of the house so I may miss the startup today.

4096.340 KHz

I am listeneing to Haystack right now and it is starting off about 30 Hz lower than during the day. The signal is weak so it is hard to tell more than that the pattern is irregular. I might hear one full length dash and then a long silence.

Haystack has never drifted back to 4096.370 KHz that I have logged for a few months. It seems to have been retuned or somehow settled 25-30 Hz lower than the past loggings.  At this time the signal strength is pretty good

well..... what the heck, LOL. Haystack is sitting at 4096.378 KHz right now with a pretty strong signal. I've seen the pictures of how it is built so I guess I should not be surprised at its electronic hiccups. I wish the owner would go fix his Inyo Whooper. I miss that goofy sound.

Haystack is down to 4096.350 KHz and I have seen a couple times where it was sending what is like an M character. If I did not see it on my spectrum display I would think that I was hearing things. I can't say for sure that it is not some sort of super rapid fade. Area temps are in the mid thirties.

Fun stuff!
