NDBs for winter 2017

This past winter is the first time I've tried for NDBs, lots of fun!

Maybe a loop for next winter but the longwire did ok
for NDBs and the DGPS band.

Some nice loggings there...    :)

Couple of thoughts, use some kind of tuner with your longwire or better yet, give the PAR EF-SWL antenna a try.  It will yield a tremendous improvement over a plain vanilla longwire not only on LW but also MW and SW.

I wholeheartedly agree, using a tuner is very effective for the bands below ambc. Amazingly so really. So much more energy is efficiently transferred when each end of the system (antennae/transmatch/feedline/radio) sees its natural z.
